Common Conditions Treated

Animal chiropractic offers holistic non-surgical, drug-free options for correcting bone, disc, and soft-tissue disorders related to improper spinal alignment and motion. When the animal’s spine losses mobility in certain areas through trauma, injury or degenerative wear and tear, the joints with in the spine can become compressed,  affecting the nerves the flow out from these congested areas.  The body's nerves are the communication links from these joints to the brain and spinal cord, messages to the rest of the body are then interrupted, leading to pain and loss of function for your animal. Animal Chiropractic focuses on the restoration and preservation of heath by removing communication barriers and restoring normal function.

Animal Chiropractic Care may be appropriate in treatment of:

  • Neck, back, leg, and tail pain

  • Muscle spasms, nerve problems

  • Disc or joint problems, limping, gait abnormalities

  • Injuries from slips, falls and accidents

  • Jaw, TMJ problems, difficulty chewing

  • Event or sports injuries

  • Recurring conditions such as respiratory or urinary infections

  • Seizures or neurological problems

  • Constipation or diarrhea

Chiropractic is not limited to just injured or sick pets. Healthy and athletic animals are ideal candidates for chiropractic examination and care as well. Animals used for athletic performance or other working purposes are ideal candidates for chiropractic treatment.  Regularly assessing and maintaining maximum flexibility for athletic animals helps to prevent and avoid injuries.
Competition dogs are even more active than the standard household pet dog. Their athletic talents are regularly put on full display in competition, and the physical demands on their bodies benefit greatly from regular maintenance and adjustments through Chiropractic care.
